In order to obtain the highest speed possible of a limb or segment, all joints must be used in order from largest to smallest and over the largest range of motion possible. For example: In Golf, during the downswing, a golfer must rotate the hips frist, then the trunk, followed by the shoulders, elbows, wrist and then the club will come through with the highest speed possible. |
